About Peymaneh Amini, MD: Specialist for plastic / aesthetic surgery and hand surgery

After completing her internship (1999) and her licence to practise medicine (2000), Peymaneh Amini, MD, discovered her passion for plastic surgery. Since then she has worked exclusively in plastic surgery. Her enthusiasm for this subject motivated her throughout her 6-year specialist training at the Cologne Municipal Clinics, Merheim Campus of the Private University of Witten/Herdecke, Department of Plastic Surgery, Severe Burns Centre, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery (Prof. Dr. Dr. med. halbil. G. Spilker), Chair of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, to peak performance, so that in 2003 she was appointed as functional senior physician to head the section for plastic, aesthetic, as well as reconstructive breast surgery and laser surgery.
In 2006, she obtained her specialist qualification in plastic and aesthetic surgery. One year later, she was appointed senior consultant at the Clinic for Plastic Surgery due to her commitment.
From then on, she was the permanent deputy of the medical director of the clinic.
In 2009, she obtained the additional designation for hand surgery.
In addition to all plastic surgery, her focus is on the special fields of breast surgery, surgery of adipose tissue and aesthetic surgery.
During her 8 years in the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Cologne-Merheim Campus, Dr. Amini published numerous papers, including one on the particularly scar-saving technique for reducing very heavy breasts, based on over 120 cases.
She works as an expert witness for various regional courts.

Aesthetic surgery

Those who consult an aesthetic plastic surgeon are usually not ill, but dissatisfied with their appearance.
With the progress of minimally invasive techniques, most of our patients' corrective wishes can be realised today.
We offer the following aesthetic operations:

Treatment with Botox^® and fillers

Botox®: Facial wrinkles in particular can be treated effectively with Botox®. For the smoothing of crow's feet, frown lines, lip wrinkles and forehead wrinkles, treatment with Botox® is a standard treatment method. Injections usually give the face not only a younger but also a friendlier appearance.
To treat hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), Botox® is injected into the skin in a diluted form. In doing so, the sweat glands are inhibited by Botox®. The duration of effect varies from person to person. Dr. Amini's practice uses products from Merz Frankfurt, bocouture.

Filler:

The skin loses tone and elasticity with age. One of the causes is the loss of the body's own substance: hyaluronic acid. This loss leads to the skin becoming drier and accordingly more wrinkled. By injecting the wrinkles, they are usually significantly reduced, in some cases they even disappear completely. This usually leads to a more youthful and fresh appearance. Dr. Amini's practice uses products from Q-med Sweden, a Galderma Company: Restylane, and products from Merz Frankfurt, belotero.

Liquid lifting:

In a wrinkle injection of the entire face (called liquid lifting), the entire face is treated with hyaluronic acid of various strengths.
The moisture and elasticity of the skin increases and the skin becomes younger.
The temple region, eye circles, cheeks, chin contour and mouth region (lips and nasolabial folds) are successfully rejuvenated with this wrinkle therapy. In the lower eyelid area, the vessels are padded and thus become invisible. The dark circles appear lighter and the bags under the eyes invisible. Crow's feet are also treated with this procedure.
The risks of this face lift without surgery include bruising and rarely swelling, which can be bothersome. For this reason, a liquid lift is performed in 2 to even - depending on the skin condition - several sessions. A liquid lift can replace a facelift operation if the skin is moderately saggy.

Modern, non-invasive medicine

Laser medicine:

One of our specialities is laser medicine with a wide range of applications. Treatments with the laser are a tissue-friendly and modern method. The applications are very effective and show results in a relatively short time. The procedures can be carried out without anaesthesia because the pain is only slight. The healing process progresses much faster with laser treatment than with surgery. We offer the following treatments, among others:

• Fractional laser treatment: skin rejuvenation and resurfacing.
• Radiofrequency: skin tightening through deep heat
• Treatment of cellulite with acoustic waves
• Acne and scars: Treatment with laser possible

Ulthera:

Ulthera™ is a new non-surgical lifting treatment that is particularly suitable for the face.  The brow region, which until now could only be treated with Botox to tighten it and lift the eyelids, can be treated efficiently and gently with Ulthera. The disturbing crow's feet as well as the wrinkles in the lower eyelid area are precisely eliminated with this medically safe method. The neck and especially the region under the chin, the so-called double chin, are treated with this method without surgery such as liposuction or lifting surgery. A sagging chin contour is a thing of the past with this method.
This unique world innovation is also officially approved and recognised by the FDA in the USA.
It uses highly focused ultrasound signals that are specifically transported into the connective tissue of the skin. This means that the upper layer of the skin remains unharmed and side effects such as bruising do not occur with this treatment. This treatment is most suitable for patients who have incipient to moderate sagging of the skin of the face or who do not wish to have surgery. The treatment is performed during the consultation and lasts up to 60 minutes. No anaesthesia is required as with surgical tightening, so personal daily routines can be resumed after treatment. Dr. Amini is one of the first practices in Europe to offer Ulthera treatments since July 2011.

Jetpeel:

To be beautiful, you don't have to suffer! With JetPeel, blemished skin, wrinkles and acne are a thing of the past!
The innovative and novel anti-aging system "Jet-Peel" is originally an invention from the aerospace industry. With this technique, water from microscopically small nozzles hits the skin at supersonic speed. This painlessly and gently exfoliates the upper, old layer of the skin. The lymphatic drainage as well as the massage improves the blood supply to the skin. The skin's respiration improves considerably and the pores close. The result is visibly firmer, younger skin. Small wrinkles are immediately smoothed and the depths are refined. The face, neck, décolleté and hands are usually treated with this procedure.
